No, If only government would get out of the auto industry, and let GM and Ford build the cars Americans want. And they don't want cars that run on lawn mower engines.





If their was a desire for these small tin cans the industry would build them, without government Mandate.

But, really, Dr. Know, the car companies are in the pickle they are in becasue they were only building and selling only what America wanted today right now, knowing full well after 100 years in business that what America wants can change in a heartbeat.

So expect dumber cars which fall apart after 100 miles, and yes, you guessed it correctly, dumber cars will kill the jobs and pollute the environment.
Reply:No, building these cars will not do that. Someone has to buy them so that the company can afford to produce them. Why build something if no one wants them? History has shown that consumers do not want these cars in the American market.
Reply:What is a smarter car? Do you mean one that Obama or Pelosi wants? Is that your idea of smarter? Does what the customer want ever figure into this?
Reply:Some people want greener cars. I just want a good car. That's why I don't buy American. Even if they were green, they would be crap.
