There is a job where you help pregnant women with shopping, cleaning etc what is this and how go about it?

where can you find out details of becoming this (there is an exact name for this type of person) and normally the pregnant woman prefers someone to have been through childbirth themselves and have children. Its like a job as a companion?

I think that what you are describing is a Doula. They also accompany the woman to the hospital and ast as an advocate for the woman as labor progresses. I am not entirely sure of the training you need for this, but you do need a good understanding of the birth process and the medical decisions to be made during the process.
Reply:Do you mean Doula? It goes beyond helping out in the house though, they also perform midwifery tasks as well, although a lot of Doulas (to my knowledge) are untrained in midwifery and have simply been through the process themselves.
Reply:Its called being married.

I think this would seriously fall under the housekeeping/assistant catagory.

Put an add in the paper, see if anyone is interested. You might get quite a few phone calls.

Does adderrall make you willing to clean house more and tackle jobs?

i suffer from add and have had some depression. The doctor gave me adderall last year and I immediately felt like i could tackle the days tasks without that empty feeling. Does anyone else feel like they have the energy to get things accomplished when on the medication? It feels like without the medication I cannot work...
Does adderrall make you willing to clean house more and tackle jobs?
First of all, the last thing you need is some idiot on here saying you are bi-polar and not ADD. How would she know? The public perception is that ADD is overdiagnosed, but there is little factual basis for that notion. Also, Tom Cruise is a dimwit. Don't take important psychological advice from people on the internet. Here are some facts to help you understand your drug:

Yes, adderall is AMPHETAMINE. It has been proven to improve both phsyical and mental performance. It increases your energy, as well as increasing your focus, and by tickling the pleasure centers of your brain, you can enjpoy the tasks you used to think of as chores. These are all good things. If you're at the point where you feel like you have to take a pill just to get up to feeling "normal," then you might want to cut back. Take a few days off if you can, or only take one pill per day instead of two. Or, you could simply talk to your doctor to increase the dosage to get the same affects from when you first started.

The main negative effect I've seen come from every day use is the tendancy to take life too seriously, and to lose some of your sense of humor. Also, some people develop an obsession about being "on-point" all the time.

Please check the link below if you want to learn more.
Reply:Thats the reason why adderrall is so popular among college students. Not only will it give you the ability to study for hours on end, it gives you the desire also. So many people get addicted to stimulants and relapse not because withdrawl is so bad, but you just don't want to do anything when your not on them.
Reply:sounds more like bi-polar to me...adderall is a stimulant that given under the wrong conditions can cause mania, a feeling like you could tackle any job, and you have the energy to do anything. add is very hard to diagnose properly and is often times confused with depression anxiety and bi-polar disorders. adderall can also make depression worse.

House cleaning -- glass? teenager job helping family member :/?

When I cleaned my cousins glass shower stall I used the wrong cleaner. Instead of window cleaner I used a white liquid that resembles VIM or Mr Clean. What it did to the window was it left little circles on the glass the next day, and it will not come off. The bathroom is clean, but the window makes it look very dirty. I don't know what to do! I don't want to make things look worse. What can I do to fix the damage? She hasn't seen the mess yet. PLEASE HELP!!

I will never clean a window wrong never ever again.
House cleaning -- glass? teenager job helping family member :/?
Well, if the product you used had any kind of abrasive in it, the circles are permanent and there's nothing you can do but confess and apologize.

You can try using vinegar and a soft rag to get any residue off and see if that helps.
Reply:I use Tilex mildew. you can find it in cleaner isle at the market. It works great. We have glass shower doors. I have lived in this house for over 13years and since I have been using this I don't have any buildup or lime stains. I am sure that this will work.

Good Luck

Oh yea, the smell is very strong, so you want to spray the door hit the fan/vent and leave it for a while, then use a soft sponge and warm water to clean it rinse well.
Reply:Try hot water %26amp; baking soda and then rinse it off and use white vinegar to make it streak free. I hardly use any other cleaners...I found these everyday household items to be little miracle workers for everything....and I have to hand it to Mr. Cleans Magic Eraser, the only sponge I invest in.

I think we should use prisoners to clean highways and other state jobs in NH do you?

~Since most inmates in prison are assigned to jobs in the facility they are housed in, perhaps you mean using people who are sentenced to short terms in jails. If that's the case, I don't see a problem with that. Since our taxes pay for their housing, food, medical expenses, etc., it makes sense. Now how about adding to the highway clean up jobs all people on welfare, disability, in mental institutions and the like. Afterall, our taxes pay for them too. At least when someone commits a crime, they pay the price of being locked up behind bars. If I don't feel like going to school or living at home, I can just get pregnant and the taxpayers have to support me and my kid. And if I get disability for some phoney ailment, the taxpayers have to support me. So, let's at least spread the jobs around to the most "deserving".
I think we should use prisoners to clean highways and other state jobs in NH do you?
Yes, why should the taxpayers have to support the thieving, lying, trash. Make them work and earn enough to support the penal system.
Reply:Yes they need to be doing something. cleaning the streets, working along the highways is good jobs for them
Reply:They should be used for medical experiments also. How about they sort through our trash and dig out all the recyclable stuff that people were too lazy to seperate. Make prison a living hell, then when people get out it is no longer bragging rights but humiliation about the stuff they had to do.
Reply:its a great idea for prisoners to clean highways because

they are giving back to society and less likely to reoffend

when they are released from prison
Reply:why not? your taxes are paying for their food, clothing, etc.

And before the liberals wine about their terrible living conditions, well don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

For a sales rep job that requires a clean driving record how far do they go back?

Is it 3 years or 5 or over your whole life or how far back does a company look? I am guessing they require that for insurance reasons...
For a sales rep job that requires a clean driving record how far do they go back?
Actually insurance laws vary from state to state. In the state I live in for example, insurance companies can only base your rates on any citations or accidents within the past three years.

DMV has differing retention periods for items on your record based on the severity of the offense. Minor violations usually stay on your DMV record for five years, and sever offences can stay for ten years. Some extremely severe offences can stay on your driving for life. Just because DMV keeps items on your record for as long as they do does not mean your insurance company can go back as far as DMV has record.

Employers can often go back as far as DMV has record, and it varies from employer to employer. Some employers go all the way to get better rates, and ensure that they have safe drivers. Others may only go back as far as is REQUIRED for insurance verification.

To clarify, insurance companies can only go back three years to count items against you, but some can and do give discounts for people with clean driving records for five to ten years.

Basically, it's going to depend on the employer, and you will want to find out what the company policy is for how far back they review your record. You can also call the DMV in your state to find out how long they even keep specific violations on your record that employers could access. If the DMV doesn't list it anymore because it was minor or something, then the employer can't find out about it from DMV even if they want to.
Reply:Well it really depends on the company. If it is for insurance, the insurance company could go as far back as 7 to 10 years. It just depends. I have insurance companies that go back 7 years.

Very good point.

I'm only sorry that Obama HAS to clean up Bush's mess! It would have been nice if Obama could have started off with a surplus and a healthy economy, like Bush did. Then he would really have been able to be the kind of president he planned to be.

Well, I'm glad we have him at the tiller now, instead of Bush. Maybe he'll be able to straighten this whole thing out. I certainly hope so.

Before blaming the muncipal officials why not the public do their job by cleaning their surroundings clean?

most ppl consider garbage pick up and street and sidewalk cleaning and maintenance to be a city services that they pay for with their taxes. is that what you're talking about?
Before blaming the muncipal officials why not the public do their job by cleaning their surroundings clean?
If this is possible, the there is no need of municipal corporation.

That is their responsibility which they are not doing it properly.

They are only being paid because they have taken such responsibility.

In present scenario, Nobody is free to do such cleaning jobs in and around their surroundings.
Reply:good quistion
Reply:I liked your Question... But can you answer that question for me first?
Reply:Municipalities provide garbage and recycling services. It is up to the homeowners and residents to keep up their property. If they have nuisances, they need to get rid of them. It's not the city's responsibility to do it, unless proper notice has been served and the property owner absolutely refuses. Then the fees are assessed to their property taxes.
Reply:Sometimes, neighborhood or block associateions take on projects such as beautifying an ugly area, or cleaning a lot or park. It brings people together, promotes a sense of togetherness and has more positives than many other things.
Reply:A thought provoking Idea, in few city these cleaning drives are held once in a blue moon whereas it should be done every month at least, more over we should be "MORE RESPONSIBLE" about our environment.
Reply:You have raised a most relavent question. Unless the citizens are aware of their duties and committed for the development or cleanliness of their own city, no civic administration ensure wonders. Civic participation in the civic affairs are a must. Afterall they are civic bodies, not governing bodies.
Reply:Yes, I agree with your context. We always blame Govt/local authorities ...and we do not discharge our own responsibilities. How can municipal staff af about 1000 persons in a small town can expect to serve 3 lakhs population, who does not even courtesy to use dust bins, not maintaining thier own home sarroundings in neat and clean conditions...We just dump the garbage on next vacant plot ..then blame it on Municipality. We can spend huge money on Weddings, Parties, Get togethers,...but we can not collectively afford to appoint a private person at nominal cost to clean and carry a garbage periodically to distant place in outer limits of town.Who bothers about neighbours and home place. We have lot of time to debate on cricket matches,Political matters,Gossips,Iraq wars and film stories...etc., but not for self and local area development.Let us do something about it seriously and constructively.
Reply:Are you working in a Municipal Corporation ??

Every one has their own resposibilities and they are paid for that. If all the municipal corporations become private, People will start working and do their duities. We are paying hell a lot of tax to the government and they are suppose to frame some plans to keep the place neat and clean.

Ofcourse I do agree its everyone resposibilities to take care of their surrondings, but govt should take initiatives for that.

I am thinking about quiting a job sitting down, but I don't like, and doing a contract cleaning I feel happier
I've done restaurant cleaning and I really like the job for a couple reasons. The guy before me was being paid $8/hour but was stoned so he did a bad job and took four hours and I managed to do the job for $25/day and it took me an hour and a half.

I also did cleaning for an industrial bakery and that was also a good gig. The good thing about cleaning is you don't have a clock to watch and you make more the faster you work.

If cleaning makes you happy do it!!!

just be sure that the money will be equal or better if that is your only income. Good luck with all you decide.

When a potential job asks for a clean driving record what do they mean?

I got a DUI about 4 years ago and a speeding ticket last summer. Is that too dirty? I was 18 when I got the DUI.
When a potential job asks for a clean driving record what do they mean?
It depends on what the job is, and what they say for a duration as a clean driving record. For example we employ Lab Driver's, they have to have a clean driving records w/no moving violations for at least the past two years. So it depends on what the company said for how long your record should be clean. But your speeding ticket last summer will probably disqualify you since it is a recent moving violation and a DUI is very serious and 4 years ago is very recent for that, so even that could be a factor. I'm sure you insurance rates are higher for you w/these two things on your record, so for an employer you would be a very high risk, and may not even qualify to be covered under their insurance. My advice would be not to get a job that requires a clean driving record, not for awhile yet anyways. I would think they wouldn't hire you based on your record, but you never know. Sorry to be the barrier of bad news.

Just as a side note, if they require a clean driving record, they will run a background check on your driving record so they will see everything that is on their.

Best of luck!

HR Manager
Reply:I thought a clean driving record means nothing - not even a speeding ticket - on your record, but I have come to find out that's not necessarily true. But I would think a DUI would be considered a bad mark.

However... Most companies are looking at 3 yr records - at least that's how it is here in Texas.

How about a defensive driving course? Sometimes that can help your driving record. You can do them online for $25. You might could at least wipe the speeding ticket off your record. Good luck!
Reply:You should write that you received a DUI 4 years ago but not the speeding ticket as long as its been taken care of. The only reason why I would mention about the DUI is because it's a serious matter - compared to a simple speeding ticket. Good luck and hopefully you will get the job!
Reply:some companys are strictor than others.some trucking companys ask for a 7 year history on youre driveing and employment history and some go back 3 or 4 years.it will all depend on the company and what sort of contracts thay have.send youe resume to as many companys as possable and see which one bites the hook....good luck
Reply:What's a DUI? May I know which country has this? Anyway, a clean driving record would mean no speeding, no drunk driving, no accidents, no court cases etc.
Reply:Usualy, employers go back 3 years, but you should tell them anyway, Or get a dmv printout to take with you, and go by what IT says.

Do you believe women should be allowed to get married if they don't believe their job is cooking and cleaning?

My cousin and his wife are probably going to get a divorce b/c she doesn't cook and clean like a wife should. I'm not saying they have to do all of it, just most of it since it is a woman's job. I'm just sick of all these divorces.

thank you
Im looking for a job in domestic cleaning ,help please?
I've been a pro housekeeper for 15 years. LOVE what I do. I got started just by word of mouth, through my church, then through my kid's schools as I was a volunteer there. I started by taking any job that came along, one time jobs, spring/fall cleaning, homes, offices, church, even tended to some elderly after surgery, moms after births, emergency cleaning after deaths in family. Now, I have my regulars, only work 3 days a week, don't clean after kids/pets, don't do windows don't go out of the part of town I live in, etc! don't know what area you're in, but metro areas pay better. Each job is different, clients want different things, bid accordingly. More $ first, second time in until you get the job under control, then go to hourly. Don't underbid!
Reply:Make up some bulletins and have friends and relatives put them up on bulletin boards at their work. (Also in their apartment or condo building). Ask them if you can put them down as a reference, as people are leary about letting strangers into their homes. You could also see if you could post bulletins at Seniors Apartments, hospitals, pharmacy's etc. Word of mouth is great, make sure you make everybody aware of what you're going to do. Don't forget the internet, I'm from Canada and we have sites like Kijiji etc. where you can place ads for everything for free.
Reply:They list of a lot of these jobs in the newspaper from time to time. I'd say check there. If that doesn't work, place an ad for your cleaning business.
Reply:If you are interested go online to the website for cleaning maids. There are allot of different sites online to choose from.
Reply:Why not post your own advert?

People won't know that you are willing to do the work if you don't let them know.

I'm thinking of cleaning houses as my job. It's just going to be me so do I need insurance or anything?

"Need" is a relative term. Cleaning houses is a very popular, mostly uninsured, under the table way to get income.

Insurance is going to cost you about $1500 a year, the first year, and will only cover you if you get sued because you did something negligent that caused someone else injury. It's NOT going to cover if you accidentally break something while dusting.

Bonding doesn't cover what most people think it does. Even if you have liability coverage, you probably DON'T need a bond, unless you're looking for government work.

Most people that do it on the side, can't afford the insurance.
I'm thinking of cleaning houses as my job. It's just going to be me so do I need insurance or anything?
Yes, you will...
Reply:In several states I have lived in, Texas, Illinois, Kansas, Florida, most house cleaners are bonded and insured. I would not, nor do I know of anyone who would let a stranger into the house with out bond or insurance.
Reply:Check with the Chamber of Commerce in your home town. You will definitely need to be bonded, so my hunch is you will also need to be insured. Each state has different laws. Hope this helps a little bit. Annie
Reply:yes incase someone claism you stole something there is insurance to protect you from this
Reply:not as far as i know, but you will need personal insurance, since the job will not have health benefits.
Reply:Better you have one, because if something happen to you and you have a insurance.
Reply:you need to be insured and bonded.

Reply:I'm not sure about insurance but you need to be bonded.
Reply:If you're getting paid under the table, getting insurance might blow your cover.
Reply:you may need insurance, because clients will be less likely to hire you without insurance, unless you have enough clients already.
Reply:I would not think so. Cleaning houses does not require you to file for a business license. I know a lot of people that do that on the side. Even if you do it as your job, I really do not think you need to have all of that stuff. As far as reporting what you earned to the IRS for tax purposes, that is a different story. You should ask someone who knows taxes about that one.

Normally the tow truck company is resposible for cleaning it up as they will charge you in the bill for it. But most of the time they just leave it and charge you anyways. Most of the companies are good about cleaning it up but alot just let it go.

Hi. How can I find a job as a housekeeper(cleaning sercices) in New Orleans??But no craigslist.com?

I did some searching for housekeeper/cleaning services in New Orleans, and it is tough to find those listings in that location.

I think that your best search terms might be "cleaning lady" or "domestic help" rather than "housekeeper" if you want to focus on working in homes rather than other kinds of residences.

Indeed.com - http://www.indeed.com - is an "aggregator" site that pulls jobs off of job sites, like Monster, CareerBuilder, (sorry) Craig's List, and the local newspaper's help wanted classifieds.

Local online help wanted ads from The Times-Picayune are at http://www.nola.com/jobs/

There are over 100 Louisiana-specific employers and job search resources listed on Job-Hunt.org's Louisiana page - http://www.job-hunt.org/jobs/louisana.sh... - including medical, education, and government employers.

Colleges with dormitories, hospitals and nursing homes with significant cleaning requirements, and government offices might represent good employment options for you until the need for domestic help recovers.

And the casinos which seem to be making an excellent recovery from Katrina might also offer good options for you since many have hotel rooms and other facilities that need regular cleaning.

If you are only working 3 days a week, that leaves at least 2 days that you can spend looking for something better. What you are doing now is building your resume. If you can show that you toughed it out and worked a stinky job for a while, it shows a good work ethic and that will be smiled on when you are looking for something else.

Do you believe it is the wife's job to clean up the pet's, children's, and husband's vomit?

I think guys have a gag reflex that makes them sick if they try to clean up things like that. My mom always did it in our house.
Do you believe it is the wife's job to clean up the pet's, children's, and husband's vomit?
no

p.s. you're a pig
Reply:Yes on kids vomit.

Yes on pets vomit.

No on husbands vomit (that should be self cleaned).

This assumes you are doing man only tasks elsewhere in the household.

Such as changing the oil in the car, cutting the grass, cleaning the gutters, etc etc.

Women that want to do nothing about cleaning up after their kids or pets despite a man's contributions are lazy and are worth avoiding at all costs.
Reply:No.... I don't think you should have kids if you can't handle vomit. Didn't you have younger siblings growing up? Marriage is about love, but lets face it, it's also about poop, vomit, spit, and pee.

Both spouses need to be responsible for the care and protection of their family. That means sometimes cleaning their vomit.
Reply:your mom did it probably because you're dad was a jerk like you. if you vomit you should clean it unless you're really sick, maybe the wife will clean it up for you.
Reply:Some people do have a gag reflex, but it sounds to me like you are just looking for excuses not to do your fair share of work around the house. Be a man and deal with it!
Reply:is it your job to wipe her *** when she takes a "boo boo?" that's how silly your question is. everybody has a gag reflex, do your part.
Reply:i have seen it before, in guys/girls , who won't deal with those substances... If you don't think its fair in the relationship then trade those tasks for foot rubs, making dinner etc.
Reply:Leave the children out of it, but for pets, its best to make her lick it up, that's the only way she will learn.
Reply:yes definitely this is the duty of an idle wife, but sharing the work is common in day to day life but it depends on the situation.

Where can I get a good free registry cleaner to do the job?

My computer seems to get slower and slower. A friend told me I need a registry cleaner. Will that really help? If so, where can I get a good free registry cleaner to do the job?
Where can I get a good free registry cleaner to do the job?
The short answer is: Yes, your computer will run better if you occasionally clean your Windows system registry. But first, let's define exactly what the registry is...

In layman's terms, the Windows Registry is a hideously complex ball of string, rubber bands, duct tape and bailing wire that's supposed to keep track of Windows system settings, your hardware configuration, user preferences, file associations, system policies, and installed software. In slightly more technical terms, the registry is a database in which Windows keeps track of relationships between hardware, software and the operating system.

It was supposed to be an improvement on the collection of simple text-based INI files that stored Windows configuration settings, but too many pocket protectors got involved in the design and the result was an over-engineered, over-complicated mess that makes Windows much more fragile and harder for users to maintain. Since it is a single point of failure, problems with the Registry can make a Windows system slower, less reliable, unbootable, and in extreme cases can only be fixed by reinstalling the operating system.

That's why you need to use a registry cleaner every once in a while.

It's not uncommon for the registry to grow very large over time, which tends to slow down the computer's startup and can make it unstable. You can end up with lots of unnecessary registry entries that are created when you install or remove software and hardware on your computer. Sometimes an "orphaned" registry entry can confuse Windows during startup and cause a delay. In general, slimming down your registry will make Windows run faster.

The REGEDIT command will allow you to view and edit the registry, but if you don't know what you're doing under the hood, just put down that wrench and back away slowly. You can do a lot of damage to your system by flailing about with a registry editor. Specialized programs exist to examine the registry, compare what's in there to what's really on your system, and either correct or delete erroneous entries.

REGCLEAN is a utility program included in Windows 95 and Windows 98. This program is no longer officially supported by Microsoft, but some users report that it works fine on Windows XP systems. However, I don't recommend that it be used on XP, because the structure of the registry is different in XP than it was in earlier incarnations of Windows.

RegSeeker is a highly rated (and free) registry cleaner that I like. RegSeeker is an aggressive cleaner, and in some cases may delete registry entries that are needed. Some RegSeeker users have reported that using a RegSeeker exclusion file can prevent it from making erroneous deletions.

Another popular free registry fixer/cleaner is CCleaner, which does some additional things like cleaning up your browser's temp files and deleting unneeded files. CCleaner has a reputation for being less aggressive so may be a better choice for non-expert users who want a free registry cleaner.

Uniblue RegistryBooster is not free (US$29), but seems to be the most advanced tool in the class. Some 3rd-party tests have shown that it improves both boot time and application launch time. In the past, I've read about people with problems uninstalling the Uniblue Registry Booster software after downloading a trial version. To my knowledge, the company has resolved those problems. If you are a non-techie, I'd recommend this tool over the others.

There other registry cleaners available, some free and some not. If you want to play the field, read some reviews by reputable sources like CNET or PCWorld before you install. If you're not careful, you can get an adware or virus-laden registry cleaner wannabe that claims to do the job, but will have nasty side effects.

A Few Caveats...

Before using any registry cleaner, I highly recommend that you create a System Restore restore point, and even better, do a full registry backup with the ERUNT utility. In some cases, aggressive registry cleaning can remove entries required for some programs to operate.

I should mention that technology experts have differing opinions on the value of registry cleaners. Some adamantly claim that they cannot possibly improve system performance. Others say they might help a little, but point out that in some cases they can cause damage as well. And of course others believe they can offer significant benefits. I tend to be in the latter camp, but recommend caution when using a registry cleaner. Choose the tool that suits your level of technical expertise, and do your preparatory backups.

Making Windows Faster

I should also mention that there are lots of other things that can cause your computer to bog down. Viruses, spyware, a hard drive that needs defragmenting, and other factors can contribute to the problem. In my article Make Windows XP Run Faster! I share my special recipe to clean the icky goo out of your computer's pipes, so Windows will start quicker, run more reliably, and go

Reply:I personally like CCleaner and Advanced WindowsCare Personal because they do more than just clean my registry. CCleaner also has the option to save changes to the registry in case you need to revert back.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization and privacy tool. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. CCleaner also fixes your registry. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware.

Advanced WindowsCare Personal is a comprehensive PC care utility that takes a one-click approach to help protect, repair, and optimize your computer.

Other free registry cleaners available include Eusing Free Registry Cleaner, Registry Distiller and TweakNow RegCleaner Standard.

What % is fair increase on an L.A. house rented to a single man with a good job who repairs & cleans nothing?

I am a divorced woman whose only asset is a 2 bedroom/2 bath house with a tiny yard in L.A. My renter is a very polite young man, but the house is not kept clean, his dogs have chewed the kitchen cabinets, the bathroom vent rusted because he wasn't using the fan, etc. I'm okay with continuing to rent to him, but I'm interested in public opinion about what a fair percentage rent increase would be in these circumstances?
What % is fair increase on an L.A. house rented to a single man with a good job who repairs %26amp; cleans nothing?
The rent increase should be calculated in accordance with the repairs you expect to make and the devaluation of the proberty. It has been my experience that most damages that renters cause are rarely covered by the deposit made when renting to them. I personally notify the renter that I will be coming by monthly to replace the air filters on the HVAC unit and do not allow exception to this requirement. It gives me opportunity to inspect the house and at the same time gives me the security that the filters are changed regularly to avoid damage to the unit. I had to replace a unit that cost me about $3000 because the filter was not changed regularly and that was enough to convince me. And if I found that a renter was negligent in taking care of the property (MY PROPERTY) then I needed to get another renter before the repairs cost me more than the profit I was making from the rent. In my opinion, legal problems of notification are the least of your worries. While you may want to continue to rent to this individual, the cost of repairs is going to seriously take from your only asset. Chances are when you raise the rent, he is going to look elsewhere for a place to live anyway.
Reply:Fairness really has nothing to do with it. This is a matter of negotiation. You must decide the minimum amount of money you will be willing to accept under the terms of a new rental agreement. You can ask for a sum larger than that, but do not let yourself go below your minimum amount or you are sure to be unhappy.

I mentioned a "rental agreement". I sure hope you have a written agreement with him. It is the only legal protection either of you have, especially when it comes to things like property damage caused by pets. If you don't believe me, just watch a couple of episodes of "Judge Judy" or the like. I think 75% of those shows involve one person "renting" in some manner to another without a written agreement. Small Claims Court and Civil Court dockets nationwide are choked with these types of lawsuits.

In the end, "fairness" is whatever amount of money the two of you agree on as well as the conditions spelled out in your agreement.

Good luck with your situation.
Reply:Standard rent increase is 10 percent every year or two. You must also give a 30-day notice that the rent is increasing. And, you cannot increase it during the middle of a lease term.

You can increase it by more. But, if you increase the rent by more than 10%, you must give 60 days notice.

BTW - if there is damage to the house (like the dog chewing the cabinets), you can keep up to all of the deposit as required for repair and cleanup of the house whenever he chooses to leave.

Interview at baking shop. PLz give me tips.My job will cleaning and preparing food.?
Here are some basic tips ...

Dress neat ... wear a shirt with a collar, no sneakers, no jeans. Polish your shoes.

If you have tattoos, hide them.

Piercings might be a problem.

If you normally take your bath at night, also take one before you go to the interview. Use aftershave or cologne.

Don't eat anything before the interview that will make your breath smell bad or give you gas.

Be on time ... in fact, be 5 minutes early.

Use "sir" and "ma'am" in answering questions.

Look at your interviewer(s). Don't look down at your feet. Make eye contact.

Keep your hands out of your pockets ... don't be playing with keys, loose change, etc.

Go to the bathroom BEFORE you go into the interview.

Here are some questions to ask. Ask these only if necessary (they might have already told you most of this stuff, or may tell you during the interview) ...

- Is this job for a specific shift, or will I be working different hours or different days from week to week?

- Who would I be reporting to?

- If I get the cleaning and food preparation duties done on a given day, are there other things you would like for to do?

- I worked once where we had a suggestion program. If I have suggestions for improvement, would I give them to my supervisor, or do you have a suggestion box for these?

Do women have more jobs than men Like they have the babies, work outside the home , housework, cooking , clean

How is that at splitting everything 50% ? You cannot add if you think that is equal?
Do women have more jobs than men Like they have the babies, work outside the home , housework, cooking , clean
Absolutely right! Men think they work hard having a job outside of the home. Let them try having a job outside of the home, then come home to children, need to cook, help with homework, do laundry then put the kids to bed, prepare for the next day, then start all over again trying to get everyone else ready for the coming day, and try to look good in the mean time. It all goes back to the old adage, "A man works from sun to sun, a woman's work is never done."
Reply:The only thing my wife did that I have not taken equal share in is give birth... we do share housework, we do share cooking, we do share taking care of the kids and we do share laundry...

Reply:Lol...women just have to be smarter and stop doing things and men get the message. If you do it, they figure ok, so it's done.
Reply:yes women have more thing to do what they use to say is a women job is never done
Reply:hey , yall are the ones who wanted the damn babies , not us so dont complain. we told you we should just get a dog instead but u didnt want to listen.
Reply:Yes, most women have more responsibilities than most males, especially in the domestic realm. However, I believe it is important for the couple to accept the value of of a stay at home parent for their children. The security and availability to kids of a constant parent has a lot to do with how they function at school, and eventually society. I think that the value of "things" have diminished the quality of family life. Living in a bigger home, having a status car, trying to display income that really doesn't exist, and the encouragement for kids to be involved in a lot of extracaricular activities are not positives. If a couple would honestly assess the cost of, usually the wife, that is needed, and contrasts to the actual financial gain her income nets, it will surprise them. There is the cost of a new model car, the cost of gas needed to commute, the cost of the wardrobe most women need to dress in a fashionable way, the extra taxes that extra income will necessitate, the cost of fast food because both parents are both worn out from the time required for the job and commute, and the loss of guidance missing from their kids' life. If it is at all feasible, the parent who provides the greater income is the one who should work, and the other parent should be the homemaker. There is no negative view of guys who are househusbands. They do things differently, but the most valuable thing is the enforcement of the acceptable behavior of the kids. So y'all, think about this.
Reply:Maybe i do agree on that one, because here in the Philippines, women almost have more jobs than any men do. especially factories and stuff, it's easier for women to have jobs because managers think that women are efficient in terms of working. working at home is just plain additional jobs.
Reply:Sorry--you well have to take this up with nature--or God
Reply:hell yeah! i have 4 kids, hubby, dog and a part time job!! i have no time for me till its late at night like now!
Reply:I think that women do have more jobs and responsibility in North America. There are families that split things 50%, but it is still common that a women do a lot. I personally can not seeing myself doing all that, my husband (if I get married) and I would have to figure out how to split things equally.
Reply:I'm not sure if I'm answering your question right, but women who do have children have more job like duties to do, especially if they work outside the home. To make things equal with your spouse/partner, is to see who works more hours outside the home, and whoever works less hours outside the home, should do a little more inside the home ie: attending to the children, clean, cook or whatever, so it compensates the hours that your other half is doing at work. Keeping things equal takes time to plan and work. Thats just what I think

I do cleaning for a job. Im 5 weeks pregnant will it harm my baby.?
Being active whilst pregnant is meant to be the best thing for you. Don't do any lifting sofa's or moving heavy objects tho. You will probably find nearer the end of the pregnancy hoovering or leaning over the bath will become difficult and cause a few aches and pains. I believe its just about being sensible, until you start to show and have a big tummy in front of you, it's easy to forget your carrying a tiny life inside you.

Good luck
Reply:You do need to be careful of certain chemicals. 3 known chemicals that may harm the baby are methyl mercury, lead, and polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs). You also should be cautious around all other industrial chemicals.
Reply:Well-This is something you really need to ask your OB.Certain products can be harmful to breath in-especially during the 1st trimester while the baby is doing most of it's developing.
Reply:just don't use harmful chemicals, and don't change anyones cat liter box. it's actually better for you during labor. because it keeps you in shape and active.
Reply:if you do cleaning with toxic chemicals, then you are breathing in the chemicals into your body, which will of course harm the baby. Talk to your boss about getting natural cleaning products to clean.
Reply:yah concern is on the chemicals but as per the work load, i guess not until u over tired yourself and you carry heavy things.
Reply:Some chemicals can so you should talk to your ob to see what you should do.
Reply:My wife worked right up to the day she went in labor. Don't inhale bleach and you'll be fine. Work makes labor easier.
Reply:Some of the chemicals will harm the baby. My mother had a miscarriage by cleaning the bathroom.
Reply:My wife and I run a cleaning business, she is also 7 or 8 wks pregnant, if you clean apartments for new tenants, then stay away from sodium hydroxide (lye) it is commonly found in your oven cleaners....but don't get all freaked out about doing your job, ok? If you work for a janitorial service, yes you need to make sure to wear rubber gloves and at least a paper mask to keep from breathing the fumes, your o.b. doesn't have the slightest idea about the chemicals we work with in our profession. Your best bet is your instincts...follow them, because they are really all ya got now-a-days.
Reply:It depends on the chemicals. If you are an American http://www.osha.gov/ is the agency responsible for workplace safety and they will tell you if any of the chemicals you use are harmful.

Not your doctor, you think your doctor keeps track of the millions of chemicals out there? Not to mention your doctor does not have access to proprietary formulas to even know what is in most cleaners.

No motivation. I don't care about doing my job, getting any work done or doing anything. Cleaning at home,

working out. Things I need to do. I dont care.

I am taking lexapro at night for anxiety.

How can I get motivated to get stuff done? And why don't I care?

I seem pretty happy, what is my problem?
No motivation. I don't care about doing my job, getting any work done or doing anything. Cleaning at home,
Your in a slump - you need to find anything that will motivate you. It could be as simple as a dress you see in a magazie you want to wear, or as serious as wanting to help change your community. You just to find it. If your already seeing a dr. and they've prescribed something tell them it's not working. Go to group sessions, take inspiration to change anywhere you can find it. Good luck.
Reply:You should let your anxiety give you energy to get things done. Many a artist or musician was driven by anxiety and all the energy it brought with it. take away the anxiety and they become a couch potato like everyone else. You can use it to your advantage, you can control the power that anxiety brings with it. The meds are sapping you.
Reply:Side-effect of the Lexapro (an SSRI), often it creeps up as a long-term side-effect.

Lethargy %26amp; apathy - long term side-effects of SSRI antidepressants. Here's a link from long ago, showing this is not a new phenomenon.
Reply:Try drinking some coffee.
Reply:That's the Lexapro - a standard side effect is lack of drive, motivation, etc. It is an inhibitor and not only alleviates the stress it blocks everything. The dosage may be too high talk to your Dr about reducing the dose or even changing the medicine. You should be aware that chemical blockers should only be used while in therapy so the dosage can be adjusted as you work through the issue and eventually get off the medication. If you aren't in treatment the medicine will do you very little good. Good Luck!
Reply:i know how you feel...it is very hard, to get motivated sometimes...especially if you have sadness all around you...something is making you lose your lust for life.It is so hard to get going sometimes,...until you look around you, and see that you have it so much better than others..the only thing that gets me up sometimes, ...is the drive to try to show others who I really am, in the face of their blasphemous lies....that always gets me going
Reply:You can try 1500mg of DL-Phenylalanine in the mornings. You can get it at Vitamin Shoppe.

When you approach a potential client, do not concentrate on price, let quality be your main concern.

Take a good look at the job that is being performed by the current server and seek ways to improve or offer more services.

You do not want a client that is satisfied only by price. If so you will be replaced by the next bidder who has a lower price.

Example - Let us say that you have an office contract that only consists of vacuuming, trash disposal and restroom cleaning. You might suggest that the amount of dust on the blinds might be responsible for allergies and consequent sick days for some employees. Lot for spot removal opportunities on the carpets.

Sometimes the extra job you are trying to get is right where you already perform your services.
Reply:This is a solicitation for business which is a no no on yahoo answers. I won't report you but others are very quick to complain and no one will respond to such an obvious plea for business. Others cloak solicitations by answering questions about their business, and offer a solution with a possible chance at a referral. Try not to be so obvious in the future here. Good luck.

Laundry, Ironing, Cleaning, Shopping, Cooking, Gardening... Which domestic job do you hate the most?

Strange as it may seem I enjoy them all, particularly ironing, I find it very relaxing. I am a 51 year old male %26amp; have 2 sons, 21 %26amp; 22, living at home, I do all the washing, ironing %26amp; cooking for them. The reason for this is that my wife died last year %26amp; I do all of this to try to maintain her very high standards, I think our boys have enough to cope with without worrying about household chores.

Is that strange??
Laundry, Ironing, Cleaning, Shopping, Cooking, Gardening... Which domestic job do you hate the most?
Doing dishes and cleaning the bathroom.
Reply:cooking- im s**t at it! dont have a garden thank god, dont mind ironing too much.
Reply:I really dislike all of them, except perhaps cooking! And, that's only when I feel like doing it! Out of the list though, I think I hate ironing the most.
Reply:i love cleaning i could clean for hours but i can't stand ironing i hate it
Reply:Except shopping, all the others are allergic to me.
Reply:Laundry!! Once you think your done their's always more and more to do. However, I love washing dishes!!
Reply:I don't do any
Reply:I love doing most of those things, however ironing is probably my least favourite, regading cooking and gardening, I LOVE them.
Reply:Personally, cleaning the bathroom gets my vote as all time worst domestic chore.

I am waiting for the day when a self cleaning shower cubical exists - waiting and praying.
Reply:Dishwashing. Especially when there are pots and pans from yesterday to do!
Reply:sweeping and mopping floors.
Reply:Almost all of them. I have a lady who cleans for me. No, I am not a lazy tart, I need the cleaning done, and she needs the money. I like gardening, I do that myself, and shopping, and cooking, especially when my friends come for dinner. I do the laundry and only iron things when I need them.
Reply:Ironing fo rthe simple reason that I am just not good at it,I will iron my clothes if I have to but really donnot have the patience in ironing out all the creases or the time either, otherwise love sweeping and sorting out cupboards
Reply:Depends on the mood
Reply:Most tiresome is laundry and swiping floors...i hate them...others r ok.
Reply:Cleaning the rubbish bin once every couple of days. I hate the disinfectant.
Reply:all of it, but it's a job that has to be done
Reply:i never iron so thats the one. gardening is my fave of course that is not domestic unless one has as indoor garden.
Reply:If I stop to think how much I hate, then I just want to not do anything. Probably ironing, I used to iron every thing. Now I just throw the wrinkled object (excluding myself) into the dryer with a really damp wash cloth.
Reply:Cleaning the toilet! And unloading and storing shopping after a week's shop.
Reply:i hate laundry,so i take mine to the laundry mat %26amp; pay the lady there to wash, dry, %26amp; fold mine
Reply:cleaning the kitchen. I could do it 4 times a day and it never stays clean.
Reply:all except cooking...
Reply:Ironing
Reply:Cleaning up the kitty litter box.....it really makes me wretch!
Reply:sweeping and vacuuming
Reply:has to be cleaning
Reply:cleaning the bathroom. i hate how my skin smells and feels after using heavy bleach and cleaner
Reply:Dashabout, stop reading answers, back to your chores, quick!
Reply:After learning how my g/f especially hated ironing I asked other ladies about it

half of them hated ironing too.

I tried to iron myself thinking it could be a relaxing experience.

When it comes to shirts it's a bit hard to enjoy I guess.

anyway I never tried ironing again. :)

cheers

I live in California, I just lost a job, pool cleaner look promising for family income?

I live in California, I just lost a job, pool cleaner look promising for family income?
Since you've never been in business before, I would strongly recommend that you talk to a business counselor before you do anything especially spend money. You have to determine whether you'll start a web based business or one with a store front. I'd call the local California office of SCORE (go to http://www.score.org and input your zip code to find the chapter nearest you), the advice is FREE.

The counselor at SCORE will most likely advise you to write a business plan which is very good advice because it will force you to dig out all of the start up details and the costs of starting a pool cleaning business and force you to also understand all of the aspects of this business including the customers you'll concentrate on (your market ) and how you'll go after them.

You'll need to register the business with your state controller's office and make sure that you have any city and county licenses if any are needed where you live. All of this will come out in a business plan.

Try this link :

http://www.ychange.com/small-business-co... and read some of the articles especially the ones about a business plan and starting a business.

Good Luck
Reply:I think one of the requirements is owning a Toyota trucks, I aways see pool guys in my area driving them.

What is crime scene clean up" job? Is it for real, cuz I called up a company, and they wanted $200 for training

Bio tech services, USA,
What is crime scene clean up" job? Is it for real, cuz I called up a company, and they wanted $200 for training
I don't understand why they would expect you to pay them for training, if the job is legitimate. I would make enquiries about the company first.

The job itself would be quite nasty, but if you have a strong stomach you would be ok.
Reply:It's a real job. They specialize in cleaning up crime scenes, especially gruesome ones with lots of blood.

I've never heard of Bio-Tech, but then again I've never been in the market for a clean-up.
Reply:sounds worth it if your're interested in that type of career. I'd do it! xD
Reply:it could be. do a little more checking. does the local community college have classes about it? can you get a degree in it? or is a company that will train you for $200. is it a union job? i have no idea. do some research. good luck to you.

Im 13 and i am in need of a job and not one that invovle cleaning or babysitting i need the money for college.

if your parents trust you, try to start an ebay business under their name, you can buy clothing at the salvation army, wash them and resell. think outside the box!, to be honest i hate the generic answers the other users provided "wash cars, mow lawns..." come on people be original. If you look around you, you will see an amplitude of opportunities, at 13 i started my own successful computer repair business, while managing online sales of computer parts through ebay (using parents account). Good luck!

child labor laws prevent children under the age of 16 from working most "paycheck" type jobs - you'll just have to wait if you don;t want to do work that pays cash
Reply:Not a lot of options left for a 13 year old. Maye a movie star or singer like Hanna Montana. Everything else is not allowed by labor laws. Maybe you could write a book.
Reply:Hi you are 13. Which kind of young to find a job. Well what i suggest you is to save money. So try to be frugal. However if u really need money, U can ask your school for some assistance. I am sure they will try to help u.
Reply:try going to a salon and ask if you can sweep up or something at a jewelry store.or a snowcone shop can always hire ppl in summer.im 13 too.....
Reply:saving at an early age is good but at the age of 13 employers don't see much maturity. I would mow lawns, wash cars, and other things that you can pick up quick cash for doing. When you turn 15 then you will be able to get a "real" job. There is a thing called child labor laws which means you can't work till you are 15.

What entry-level Clean Tech jobs are available for a new marketing graduate?

I just graduated with a marketing degree in the San Francisco Bay Area. I know that the clean tech industry is active in the area and I am looking to get an entry-level marketing job. It seems that the companies are looking for scientists, accountants, and finance, but I am having trouble find marketing positions for new graduates.

I have found a few marketing internships for clean tech companies, but it is unclear what entry-level job the internship would be preparing me for. I understand that sales is the obvious marketing position, but what other types of marketing positions might be available.

I am looking into solar, but I am interested in other possibilities in the industry.
What entry-level Clean Tech jobs are available for a new marketing graduate?
You are correct. All the solar industry jobs are in sales right now, not Marketing. These are all small , growing companies and they don't even have a Marketing Department. So you have the choice of being in sales with no guarantee of ever switching to Marketing; or you can go into management and create a job for yourself in a few years..
