Is it possible to get fired from a job from being to clean?

My dad use to drive a school bus, and he does not do drugs, there was a random drug test, and they didn't find anything in his system they said he was clean. The next day they pull him into the office and say something was weird about it that he was to clean, that is was impossible to be that clean on a drug test. the test was peeing in a cup. He got fired, is this possible? Can this be taken to court?

He was not fired for not using drugs.





He was fired because the test result was NOT consistent with what would be expected from a person who does not use drugs.





The levels of something were so low that the only possible explanation was that he must have cheated on the test by mixing in water to dilute his urine.
Reply:ask for a re-test...and it is common for drug users to come out "to clean" because they are drinking large amouts of water to fake the test out...so if your peeing all water out and no body waste comes out...you are to clean and the usally ask for another test.
Reply:There are synthetic urines available on the market to cheat those tests, they might have thought he was using one of those.





But most school bus drivers are union, so he should be able to file a grievance and appeal.

If he did not cheat on the test, I recommend that he hire an attorney who specializes in this area of law and challenge his former employer in court.
