Why don't we build new electric roads& run clean electric cars & trucks? We need the jobs?

www.permanentenergy.com shows a pollution free fuelless hydroelectric power plant design that is buildable anywhere. These plants can outproduce nuclear%26amp; fusion%26amp; because it is fuelless the power is cheaper than any fueled process. These plants also have 10 times the life span of any fueled power plants. Building these plants would mean millions of high wage power plant construction jobs%26amp; millions more road building jobs.

Independent electric cars await improvements in capacitors to augment batteries, currently to heavy. Electric roads and elevated thin-tubes for vehicles can be seen here

The issue w. electric roads is that laying pickup-lines for use by pantographs (the connector piece of a vehicle to a power line) is non-trivial as it has to be integrateable with existing fuel based traffic. As the car is directionally non-rigid the pantograph needs to sense the line, self-adjust. The line needs to be rain proof, (remember it is not in a subway tunnel). All this can be overcome, but it takes more people like you "wanting" it.

Change your handle to include the word "Hallitube" and make it happen. Look at road electrification graphic on hallitube website.

Reply:there once was electric cars and they were done away with
Reply:nuclear! NO GOOD!
Reply:it will cost the Us to much money
Reply:hydroelectric means water power so you pretty much have to build a dam. this only will work if there is sufficient water flow. How many large rivers are left to turn into a series of huge lakes without flooding the big cities built along them?
Reply:oil companies wont let us.
Reply:Even electric vehicles and other machinery require oil for lubrication. It is ture that oil can be derived from plants like corn in place of petroleum oils. The processors and distributors havn't gotten up to the demands of convenience that gasoline has. Your dream may come to fruition if people like you keep asking the questions. There is the possibility of millions of jobs to support the electric road/car but it takes multi-millions and billions to convert from gas to electric. Hope it all works out one day.
