Vet Cleaning Job.?

I might get a job at the vet cleaning the animal kennels but I have a problem cleaning up vomit and wet feces. What is the best way to do this without gagging as bad as I do and not almost throwing up? I really need advice because I don't want to fail at my first job.
Vet Cleaning Job.?
After a year or so of cleaning up baby raccoon poop (which is far more disgusting than dog feces, especially when the raccoons are feeling "frisky" and decide to fling the poo at each other), I can tell you exactly how I dealt with this.

It really is simple- just set your mind on something else. Think about going to the mall with your friends, vacationing in Italy, talking to your mother over tea, whatever will keep your mind off the smell.

Your brain will adjust to your surroundings and, when you are not actively thinking of it, you will be wiping up doggie crap like an expert!

Good luck and congrats on your new job!

Reply:You could weat a surgical mask, which will help a bit with the odor, or you could rub vicks vaporub on your upper lip so you smell that instead of the puke and poop.

Eventually you will get used to all of it and it won't bother you a bit.
Reply:Put a Respirator on, the ones with the Red nozzle at the end. U wont smell anything then........ok? Think safety when doing this job. Its a very important one. Bacteria is everywhere in the vet places.

If you do not get used to this job I would suggest you apply on http://www.usajobs.gov and apply for a good job working for a distribution depot. I love working for the Government. Its very easy work and all you have to do is Show up and get paid................basically..............

I am so serious though n Have a great Christmas.

Reply:I used to do that job!Not many pets poop in the kennels because they have people who take the dogs out for a walk.

What I hated was getting the wet newspaper that cats and little dogs peed on.
Reply:It's possible you could make yourself get used to it, but honestly, if you can't deal with this, it's not the job for you. I did it on and off for years and I saw some pretty gross stuff, but it doesn't bother me--just part of the job!

Focus on the task. Take a deep breath and just do it. After a few times it will not be so bad - you'll get used to it.
Reply:Use disposable gloves everytime you do this. Or, just flush the dirty stuff with water from a hose.

Hey, not a bad idea working at the vet. Maybe I'll try to get one at a vet too.
