The biggest thing to keep in mind when you're undertaking a major job such as cleaning your entire apartment is to do what you find to be the hardest, most complicated, or most boring task first and work your way down. Instead of working up to a dreaded climax, you will feel like it's only downhill from here. If you can mentally make the job seem smaller than it is, you will get down faster.
Reply:Always vacuum before dusting. I've given up on window cleaners and paper towel. I use some ammonia and warm water and then dry with a clean towel that has no fabric softener in it. Baths first. If you do the kitchen first you won't want to do anything else. Make the kitchen you're dumping ground. Anything you don't want put it in there for now. Because you know you have to clean it. You really should start with your closets first. Get rid of everything you don't wear or use anymore.
Reply:don't think about it just do it

sounds like u are procrastinating !
Reply:Work from the top to the bottom in each room. Dust first then vacuum. Cleaning windows is easier to do on a cloudy day so that you can see streaks. I would clean out the window sills first then clean the glass. If you don't want to use a commercial product like Windex for the windows, a mixture that is equal parts vinegar to water will also work. I would start in the bathroom and spray bathroom cleaner on the tub and toilet cleaner on the toilet and let those sit. Clean another room then go back and finish the bathroom. I've been using a Clorox wand on my toilets and it works really great. For tight spaces like inbetween the bathroom sink and the backsplash, I spray bathroom cleaner on it then use a toothbrush or a toothpick to clean out the crevice.
Reply:I have always heard...Vacuum before dusting because the dust will fly when you vacuum and get right back on the furniture.

I clean my bathroom first just because it is less work. The kitchen will get cleaned but not stay clean...too many people going in and out of it.

I love the Mr. Clean Eraser, works great in the tub.

Ammonia for the shower door.

Greased Lightning and Goo-Gone are great.

When I get done cleaning...I would just love to tape everyone to the wall....My house will then stay clean.
Reply:i like martha stewarts book on cleaning, also I love the new clorox green line, not so stinky!!

turn on the radio and have some relaxing clothes on and you can rock and roll clean with Mr.Clean .

dust first...be sure you have all your rags and supplies at hand so your not wasting time....
Reply:start one room at a time. usually i start with my bedroom and closets. i clean out all the clothes that i no longer wear or use and i put them in bags and then in the trunk of my car to take to goodwill. then i do my bathrooms and windows and dusting. i vacuum and mop last so im not tracking dirt on the floors while im cleaning. also i use magic erasers for everything in my kitchen and bathroom. its great for the handles and top of your fridge, the light switches, kitchen chairs and many many other things around the house. i use windex for my windows and mirrors but i dont use paper towels, i use coffee filters. they dont leave lint on the glass like paper towels. clorox cleanup is great for the bathrooms and mr clean with febreeze is my favorite new cleaner to mop with. good luck! i hope this helps.
Reply:Use Windex at every surface you do, tiles, bathtube, mosaic floor.
