First of all, the last thing you need is some idiot on here saying you are bi-polar and not ADD. How would she know? The public perception is that ADD is overdiagnosed, but there is little factual basis for that notion. Also, Tom Cruise is a dimwit. Don't take important psychological advice from people on the internet. Here are some facts to help you understand your drug:

Yes, adderall is AMPHETAMINE. It has been proven to improve both phsyical and mental performance. It increases your energy, as well as increasing your focus, and by tickling the pleasure centers of your brain, you can enjpoy the tasks you used to think of as chores. These are all good things. If you're at the point where you feel like you have to take a pill just to get up to feeling "normal," then you might want to cut back. Take a few days off if you can, or only take one pill per day instead of two. Or, you could simply talk to your doctor to increase the dosage to get the same affects from when you first started.

The main negative effect I've seen come from every day use is the tendancy to take life too seriously, and to lose some of your sense of humor. Also, some people develop an obsession about being "on-point" all the time.

Reply:Thats the reason why adderrall is so popular among college students. Not only will it give you the ability to study for hours on end, it gives you the desire also. So many people get addicted to stimulants and relapse not because withdrawl is so bad, but you just don't want to do anything when your not on them.
Reply:sounds more like bi-polar to me...adderall is a stimulant that given under the wrong conditions can cause mania, a feeling like you could tackle any job, and you have the energy to do anything. add is very hard to diagnose properly and is often times confused with depression anxiety and bi-polar disorders. adderall can also make depression worse.
